Art Buffs African and American Indian Art
A gallery walk in a newly renovated area. If you would like to join us, send
$22 check to Peg Caughlin by August 17. We take the train to Chicago. Meet
at the National Street Station at 8:30 a.m. Board the 2nd or 3rd car from the
front. The tour begins at 10:45 a.m. Lunch will be on your own. Return to Elgin
when you choose. There will be similar presentations on the first Thursday
of Oct and Nov. Details will follow.

surfer. Absolutely stunning is the surfing photography, and over before
one is aware of what happened is the shark attack. |

film, which opens in Chicago, where a three-generational family is falling
apart, despite the best efforts of its matriarch who, in a last-ditch attempt
to save them, sends her daughter and two grandchildren to relatives in the
Mississippi Delta for the summer. |

August 28, we will be attending the Sunday matinee performance of The Importance
of Being Earnest. Our pot-luck lunch will be at the home of Carol Cowles
at 12:30. She will provide appetizers, wine, and soft drinks. Each ticket
costs $12.50, our discounted price. (Normally$15.00) Reservations please

The AAUW Bridge program has successfully completed
its 12th year. There is a $10 fee per person. This program is a fundraiser
for the general funds of the branch. Both
members
and friends are eligible for this activity.
We currently have three groups:
Evening Singles - meet once a month at a specified time
Afternoon Singles - meet once a month at a specified time
Couples - times for each table are flexible
We are always looking for new players, as well as people who would like
to substitute. If you enjoy playing fairly relaxed bridge, please call
